The shooting pain is coming from your Sciatic Nerve which branches off at the lower back and runs down both legs!. You may want to go to a credited Chiropractor for and adjustment!. May have something out of place that is pushing against the nerve!. Or you can do what a Therapist did for me when I over stretched my Sciatic Nerve!. You will need help doing this, but it worked for me!. Have someone help you!. You lay on your stomach on your bed, have them soak a towel with some hot water, ring it out and apply it to your lower back!. Have a second towel handy to quickly replace the first one when it begins to cool!. Do this until the skin turns slightly red!. Now have them massage your back and use Aspercreme Cream and massage it in!. Do this if not allergic to Aspirin!. After a while, lay on your back!. legs straight, now bend them at the knees toward you until you can grab them with your hands, then pull them toward your stomach chest area and hold!. After a coulpe of minutes let your legs back down slowly until straight again!. Do this several times and at least twice a day!. You can feel the muscles in your legs and back stretch when doing this!. You can do one leg at a time or both legs!. For strengthening the lower back muscles, lay on your back, legs straight, then don't bend them, just raise them up about six or eight inches and hold until your legs start to quiver, and they will!. Do this a couple times a day, but always before your moist heat and massage treatment!. Best of luck to you young lady!. Nothing worse than back pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well for the tingling part it just means ur leg is asleep because u have been siting in the same posittion for a long time second because the position ur in is slowing down the blood flow in ur legs !.

as for the shooting pain i have the same problem and i am not really sure wut the cause for tht is but !. but it may be because u dont have enough calcium or stuff!.
