Ever wake up after a hot night only to find that you have been bitten by a mosquito a few times!? All morning you resist the urge to scratch that one spot behind your elbow on which you just found the bite in the shower!. You even forget it's there when you suddenly find another one your toe!. The one on your elbow is huge and really itchy, but the one on your toe is small and itches occasionally!. You ask yourself, "What makes one mosquito bite more itchier or bigger than the other one!? It must have been from the same insect!. What happens when we get bitten!? Do all people have the same skin reaction to mosquito bites, or are there some people who don't itch at all!?"

I would like to add to every ones answer by saying that some are bigger because you may have already scratched them and not noticed, especially if this happened overnight!. Bacteria on our fingernails and on our skin may irritate the bitten area, more so if the bite becomes infected!. Also it has great deal to do with how long it bit you and where!. Our bodies are full of nerves!. Our skin therefore has many nerve endings!. If you happen to get bitten close to one of these areas, you may experience more pain!. To reduce the severity of the inflammation you can research many sites that offer home remedies!. Also, it is believed that a regular intake of vitamin B's helps to reduce your chances of being bitten!. Apparently these pesky critters do not like the taste of it in your blood!. Hope this answers your question! Best wishes for fresh and healthy skin! Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's the mosquito's saliva that does that!. when it drinks, the saliva prevents the blood from clotting!. it's itchy too

i guess it drank longer in one spot so it got more saliva!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on the amount of time the mosquito spent sucking your blood and also on how allergic you are to them!. Most people have some sort of allergy to mosquito saliva but some have way more than others!. So I can get stung by a mosquito and get a bite about the size of a sand dollar on my arm and my sister can get a mosquito bite that looks like a small pimple!. Crazy how those allergens work!. Also if your skin is more sensitive or calloused in one area the itch factor plays out differently!. If you get bit my a mosquito on the bottom of your foot it won't itch nearly as bad as one on your ankle!. Also, out of sight is out of mind sometimes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
