You probably have a subluxating shoulder, meaning you can pop it out and pop it back in relatively painlessly!. It's common at the shoulders, knees, fingers, and elbows!. A lot of people can do it, so if that's what you have then you're fine!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Whether or not it is actually dislocated is easy to determine!. If you can push your finger between the socket and your arm bone, it's most likely dislocated!. Some people can do it painlessly!. Is it normal!? No!. Normal indicates that it's more common in people, and this certainly is not!. Is something wrong with your shoulder!? Sort of!. You are able to do this because the ball and socket joint (that's the joint type of a shoulder) is not exactly what it's supposed to be!. The socket end (what your arm connects to) is not wrapped around the arm bone properly, probably due to not being the correct shape!. At the same time, it's not something to worry about!.

I learned I could do that when I was 10 years old!. It never hurt me to do it!. I was seeing an upper extremity (arm and hand) physical therapist a few years back for an injury unrelated to my shoulder!. I figured since he specialized in hands and arms, he could tell me more about it!. 28 years in the field, he'd never heard of it!. Another therapist in the office said he'd seen it before, and it was nothing to worry about!. My orthopedic surgeon (upper extremity specialist as well) also told me it was nothing to worry about!.

I can completely dislocated my left shoulder at will, and partially dislocate my right shoulder!. If I carry something heavy with my arms straight and pointed downward, both will dislocate whether I like it or not!. I have done labor work for the better part of the last 11 years, and seen them dislocate countless times!. I've still not had any problems as a result!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds normal to me!.!.!. :\Www@Answer-Health@Com
