How do I fall asleep easier??? I can't sleep! Help!!


Question: How do I fall asleep easier!?!?!? I can't sleep! Help!
Okay, so ever since I was 9, I've had trouble falling asleep easily!. For instance, let's say my bedtime was at 9pm, I'd just stare at my ceiling in my bed and fall asleep at around midnight or 1am!. Even when I was exhausted from a long day or I got up at 5am, I still didn't fall asleep until hours after I needed to!. Even now, when I go to bed at 10pm, I can't sleep until 1am, and I need to be getting up at 5am! What are some ways that I can fall asleep easier without taking those sleep drugs!? Please, this has been going on for well over a decade, and it needs to stop!Www@Answer-Health@Com

heres what i've noticed- when i think i cannot fall asleep!. i used to have ur problem ALL the time! but now heres what you do!. Its gonna sound weird but you have to stop thinking and start focusing on something that doesnt take a lot of brain power!. So instead of thinking about how you cant sleep, focus on your breathing!. Breathe in and out slowly and focus on it or count your breaths if that helps!. but you have to be sure your completely focused on ur breathing and don't let ur mind wonder!. Next focus on how heavy your eyelids are and keep focusing on small things and avoid and major thoughts!. ALSO take your shower at night, not in the morning!. It relaxes you and your muscle (baths do it even better!) but i mean realisticly ur not gonna take a bath every night right!. After ur shower try reading a good book (like the twilight series!! OMG AMAZING!!!) and then after about half an hour of reading close ur eyes and focus on ur breathing adn wat not!. GOOD LUCK ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm 55 and went through much the same thing as a child!.
First, no Cola's after 3:30 pm!.
Drinking a glass of warm milk or chicken broth or a vegetable soup twenty minutes before bedtime!.
No sugars after 6:00pm!.
Clean bedding, is very important!.
And a nice warm shower before bed, so get a shower cap!.
That is it!.
Sleepy time tea is good too!.
Or a glass of orange juice it contains vitamin C which is a good sedative!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
