There's a bone sticking out in my wrist...!

Question: There's a bone sticking out in my wrist!.!.!.
Earlier, my wrist was really hurting, so I kept rubbing it, but kept on typing!.

Now, at the base of my thumb, there's a bone sticking out further than the one on the opposite hand!. It still aches, and is beginning to hurt more as I type!.

I can feel the bone oddly as I'm typing, but it's not bad enough to prohibit my typing!.

Has anybody got any idea what could be wrong!?

Peace!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
read "the panda's thumb" by Stephen J!. Gould!. Maybe you're a panda!.

Seriously, though, if Lucy is right and it's a ganglion cyst, a quick doctor visit will clear it right up!. DO NOT try the home cure of bopping the bump with a book!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

PLEASE! do not keep typing, you might think its not harmful but it might be!. Go to the doctor please!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sounds like a broken scaphoid!. get yourself to the emergency room!. you are probably gonna be in a cast for agesWww@Answer-Health@Com

sounds more like a ganglion than a bone, especially as it just appeared!. This is a collection of nerve cells that can be felt as a hard lump and can be tender to touch, especially when they are rubbing next to bone!. Sometimes they disappear by themselves or some patients claim they can push them really hard to break the mass up!. But the more you rub it the more tender it will be!. Just keep an eye on the size and check it doesnt get any bigger!. If it continues to hurt and is getting in the way then see your GP!.

Sorry i didnt mean see a doctor this evening!.!.!.i just meant if it continues to get worse over the next few days!. is it redder than your other wrist and does it feel swollen!? without examining you its impossible to say what it definately is, but if it feels swollen then stop typing, get some ice, elevate it, take some pain killers, go to bed and see if its better or worse in the morning!. I do not think it is a bone sticking out unless you have fallen on your wrist or had some kind of direct trauma to it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
