Is it normal for a broken arm to get more painful as time goes on?!

Question: Is it normal for a broken arm to get more painful as time goes on!?
A broke my left arm a few weeks ago
At first It wasn't too bad but the last couple of days it has gotten really really painful

I'm taking painkillers but they don't seem to be touching it, it's like a growing pain but worse

Do you know if they can actual do anything for it!?
Or will they just give me stronger painkillers!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

hi sorry to hear you broke your arm!. depending on what painkillers your on you might be able to get others that work with the ones you are on!. say if you are on paracetamol 4 times a day you can take ibuprofen aswell 3 times a day!. you can ring the docs up and ask and they will tell yu what you can take without going to see them!. also keep it warm as the cold will make it painful aswell!. hope you feel better soon!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's probably just where it's healing hun!. Pop to your GP and ask to be referred to the pain clinic if you feel you need something stronger, they can give you something nice like tramadol :)

EDIT: LOL!! Definately, if it was me I'd be requesting home entonox, wired into the wall like it is in the maternity unit with a constant supply!. But I'm not a junkie!.!.!.lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

No it should start to feel better not worse!. If you have a plaster on it you need to get it checked out incase it's too tight or restricting your movement!.
Any pain should be checked to make sure all is healing as it should be!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would go to the doctor, you might have blood pooling in it!.

I'm NOT sure, but I don't think it's normal!. Perhaps you feel more of the pain as the swelling subsides!?!?!?

Good Luck!!!

I broke my arm a few years ago, but there was never any pain once it was in plaster!.
Probably best to see the GP to check it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
