Question: My mother is suffering from a knee pain!. the ortho diagnosed it as reactive artheritis !?
she has been given cifran 1gram for 21 days but still no relief!. now she has been advised to have penicillin injection 10 nos!. at an interval of 15 days can anyone advise!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

That sounds mighty painful to go through! I would also get a second opinion!. Has she tried glucosamine and condroiden with MSN!? This stuff is wonderful for alleviated joint pain!. Many arthritis sufferers take it and they sing the praises of it! It is an over the counter vitamin supplement and it may work wonders for your mom!. Nope!.!.!.if she isn't happy with the doctor then she should get a second opinion!. There is NOTHING wrong with second opinions!.
If she isn't seeing an orthopedic doctor and just a family doctor then ask to see a specialist!.!.!.they would know and do tests and might have something better!.
Sometimes it takes time to get rid of things!.!.!.and with arthritis the pain NEVER goes away!.!.!.no matter what!. It is damage to the bone and area around it!. I have it in my neck and back and although medicationa and excercise (stretching and strengthening muscles around the areas) helps!.!.!.the pain is always there!
