Question: What should i do about my knuckle!?!.!.!.it is hurting MORE!.!.please help!!?
i punched a wood desk about 5 days ago
Its been hurting ever since:

VERY sensitive to touching!.!.if i barley put any pressure on the knuckle, it hurts reallyyyyy bad, and it feels squishy!.

Its been red since the beginning and a little swollen, even tho i ice it a couple times a day!.

At first, it didnt hurt unless i made a tight fist, now if i make a loose fist, my finger hurts, down to the middle joint (its my middle finger btw)

in addition!.!.!.when i lay down at night to sleep!.!.!.its almost a pulseing pain!.!.its not as bad as it would if somebody touched my knuckle, but its still annoying!.

This has been really annoying!.!.what should i do!?
If i go to the doctor!.!.what are they gonna do for me!.!.other than take an x-ray!?!? if it is broken!.!.would they even be able to do anything that i wouldnt be able to do at home!?

Please help!.!.!.this sucksssss!

oh, and i kno punching a desk was a dumb idea!.!.!.!.

Must've sucked typing this lol!. I know exactly your pain!. I punched a 1" thick plaster of paris wall(and knocked a hole through it to the brick base layer)!.!.!.anyway, the best thing to do is to work it out!. Just take some tylenol to relieve some of the pain!. Keeping flexing your hand and work it out!. I know it hurts but it'll go away in about a week!. You're right about the doctor too!.!.!.they'll just xray it and send you a heck of a bill and the only thing they will do is give you a splint and prolong the healing by keeping it stationary!. Dont get me wrong I'm not a doctor!.!.!.but suck it up for a week or so!. If it doesn't heal after that or gets EXTREMELY worse then go see a doc!.!.!.and practice on a heavy bag and not a desk :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

They will set it if broken, you may even need a pin placed in it!.!. next time punch the person who made you mad, it is much more satisfying and less likely to break something!. :) Www@Answer-Health@Com
