Question: Knee arthroscopy!? Can i take any nurofen before i get it done!?
I'm going to get a knee arthroscopy on tuesday does any one know if i can take nurofen for the pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Usually before any surgery, it is a rule you take nothing by mouth past midnight unless it is blood pressure medicine that you can take with just a sip of water, other than that don't take anything!. You won't even feel any pain right after the surgery and the Doctor will prescribe you a pain medication for you to take at home if you need it!. Don't take anything else unless you ask the Doctor!. As Nurofen is an anti-inflammatory, I don't think it will be very affective BEFORE you get pain!. I would suggest you talk to the doctor who will be doing the procedure!. I doubt whether you will get any pain from the procedure, anyway, as it is normally done under a local anaesthetic!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Check with your doctor!. It does not affect blood clotting as much as aspirin does, but it still has a negative effect on it!.
