I will be on prednisone for three days..?!
Question: I will be on prednisone for three days!.!.!?
I took 60 mg the first day, 50 mg today, and I am guessing tommorow
I will have to take 40 mg!. Will this make me gain weight!? I am taking it for tonsillitis and my first day of school was yesterday but I had to miss it!. I really dont want to go back to school all fattened out on steriods!. Please help!.

You're on a reducing course of corticosteroids!.
Corticosteroids can make you feel hungrier than you normal would feel!. It's when people really give into the hunger that they gain weight!. Unless you're eating twice what you normally would at meal time, you will have no problem!.
Pred also has a diabetogenic effect meaning they have the effect of lowering your blood glucose level!.
So continue to eat properly, and don't be tempted to skip meals to avoid weight gain, because you may feel a little out of it if you do!.
