And you shouldn't be expected to be ready either!. It's normal to be apprehensive!. I work in the operating room so obviously it doesn't scare me!. But I'm on the other end!. I'm not the one having surgery!. People fear the unknown and all of our fancy equipment and gadgets can be intimidating!. If you've had six surgeries already you can find some comfort in knowing you woke up before and you'll wake up again!. No one looks forward to pain after surgery!. Your surgeon will help you with pain medications!. You will be fine :) Try to get a good night's sleep!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I always pick a song that is soothing to me, and sing it quietly to myself as I am being wheeled into surgery!. Something familiar and calming to you!. Somewhere over the rainbow, calm stephen curtis chapman songs, soft slow and calming songs!. It helped me to over come a panic attack the last operation i had!.
