when you work out, the stress causes your muscles to tear!. the body repairs the muscles by adding tissue to fill the tears!.!.!.thats why you get bigger/stronger!. these tears are also what makes you sore!. your body needs time to make these repairs though, and that time requirement is muscle recovery time!. if you dont allow your body to repair itself, your workout will not be as effective, you will fatigue faster, and run a higher chance of injuring yourself!.

your body can usually fix itself withing 24 hours, especially if youre eating well and giving your body plenty of protein, vitamins, and sugars!. it is a good idea to take 2 days off per week, not consecutive days, and if you are focusing on one area, alternate, like do legs one day and upper body the next, do give your body max healing time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you lift weights, you actually tear muscle fibers!. You need to rest the muscle group you work for a minumum few days so that the muscle will rebuild itself bigger and stronger than it was before!. Make sure you eat your share of protein to help your muscles recover, and stretch so you won't be so sore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
