Question: Taking Tylenol Pm with Tylenol-Codeine 3 !?!!?
can i do that!? or is it dangerous!?
instead of taking 2 Tylenol-Codeine3 tablets, i want to take 1 Tylenol-Codeine and 1 tylenol PM so i can sleep better!.
Is that safe!? Since they are both basically the same drug!.
Or is it dangerous!?!
btw i have shingles, and this is for pain relief and sleep!.

Taking one tylenol 3 and one tylenol PM together WON"T hurt you!
The recommendation for tylenol is for no more than 4 grams of tylenol every 24 hours!. That's equal to two, 500 mg!. tylenols, four times daily!. Symptoms of tylenol overdose or toxicity don't generally show up in an adult until a single dose of 8 to 10 grams of tylenol or more has been ingested in a single dose!.
If tylenol w/codeine and a tylenol with 25 mg!. benadryl help you, then take it!. Let your doctor know, I can't imagine he/she would disagree!.
There are far fewer side effects possible with your combination than there would be with taking most prescription sleeping meds, anti-virals and stronger pain drugs!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

The answer is a resounding NO, you can develop a condition called acetaminophen toxicity and this is life-threatening!. For the severe pain of shingles I would recommend the tylenol 3's only!. Are you taking a medication to alleviate the shingles like Valtrex, Zovirax!. Shingles is herpes zoster and if you are not treating the symptons then your pain will not go away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If I am not mistaken the Tylenol 3 is a prescription medication!. Never take an over the counter medication along with your prescription med without consulting with your doctor first!. How long have you had the shingles!? They are some specific medications your doctor can prescribe for the shingles that will also help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
The only thing in tylenol PM that makes you sleepy is benedryl!. You want to make sure you aren't taking too much of the tylenol!. The best thing to do would just be to cut out the PM's and just buy benedryl!.
