The answer is complicated!.!.!. It depends how big the lipoma is and where its located!. Lipomas are fatty tumors which usually are not very deep!. Pain from the incision usually only lasts a few days and can easily be controlled by the medications your doctor gives you!. This is assuming that its a small lipoma close to the surface of the skin!.
