Intramuscular self injecting of B12, please help.?!

Question: Intramuscular self injecting of B12, please help!.!?
My doctor has just prescribed me B12 intramuscular injections for my anemia, which I have to self inject!.
I got the B12 1 ml vials today but the chemist was unsure as to which syringe to give me!. He ended up suggesting the 1ml BD Ultra-Fine Insulin Syringe (29G x 1/2')!.
After doing some research on the internet, I think this could be too short and not big enough!. My doctor is currently sick with the flu so I can't contact her!. She has shown me the correct way to inject into my backside, but not the needle to use!?!? Can anyone suggest the correct syringe!?
Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You need about 2" for IM!. You can also inject your thigh!. Find a local nurse who can tell you all you need to know!. They are better with injections than most doctors!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
