I think I bruised my tailbone...?!

Question: I think I bruised my tailbone!.!.!.!?
Ok, now before you laugh I have no idea how I did it and all I know is it needs to be better soon because class-changing is incredibly painful!.

About 2 weeks ago I woke up and my bottom hurt so bad!. I think I fell on it or something, but I don't remember!. I tend to be a deep sleeper, so I thought maybe I got up for water or something and I wasn't fully awake and I fell!. Still it hurts SO! bad to sit or stand up after sitting!. Class changing is HELL because it takes me about 2 minutes to fully stand, or if I stand up quickly I cringe and it hurts so bad!. I thought it would go away with time, but 2 weeks!?

I don't think a doctor can fix it, but what can I do!? All this sitting has been making it worse, I think!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I just recovered from a broken tailbone!. A doctor can't fix it!.!.!.but here's what you can do!.

Sit on hard surfaces!. Soft surfaces make you sink, which puts more pressure on the bone!.

Lean forward to take pressure off the bone!.

Alternately, sit on one "cheek" or the other!.

When you get up, move slowly (but you already knew that!.)

If it's not much better in a couple of weeks, do see your physician!.

All the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

awh:[
that stinks!.
i know you can hurt yourself without even knowing because ive done it quite a few times!.
when you hurt a bone or the muscle surrounding it, it tends to have a slow healing time!. you are just going to have to stick it out:[
but i know ibuprofen ( advil) will help because its good for inflammation!.
i hope this helps and feel better!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like you have a hairline fracture!. I fell about one month ago and went to the ER!. They said the only thing you can do is ice it three times a day for 20 mins, take tylenol as needed, and get a donut pillow to sit on!. It'll take a long time to heal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
