Answers:
when you pushed the earring back through the hole you can "scuffed" the inside of the ear canal, where the original pericing was, causing it to bleed and to be sore!.

the lump you can feel is most probably scar tissue from the piercing!.
leave the earring in place with the butterflys very loose as tight butterflys will increase inflammation!

use natural sea salt and cooled boiled water from your kettle to clense the ear, dont use peroxide as this is too harsh and will cause more problems!. if the pain consists for more than 48hrs i would advise a trip to your GP or nurse to see if it is in need of antibiotics/drops!.

also you said you took the earrings out where they ready to be changed!?
the lump could also be due to a reaction to the new earrings you put in, i would revert back to original earings and if the lump is not scar tissue you could find it will disapear!. if you didnt change them then stick to my original plan, clean,48hrs then docs!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can't help you much cause I didn't pierce my own ears, but I could tell you about me!. Well first of all when I first got them pierced I had to rub this antibiotic stuff on it with a cotton ball twice a day!. You can get it cheap from WalMart!. If you haven't been doing that it's probably infected!. I did get a little infection and also had a "bump" inside my ear and was kind of worried, but they both went away!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have caused a seroma - a fluid filled area that happens after trauma!. This will eventually heal!. Not much you can do about it but leave the earring out!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
