Answers:
Take an analgesic and a hot shower with hot water on each sore spot (high pressure, if possible, vs!. dispersed delivery) or just soak in a hot bath!. Massage the sore spots you can reach!.

During the exercise, you had other things to occupy your attention, but there probably was a lot less pain - next time, to help, use cool-down exercises after!. There is probably some minor swelling from overwork, some residual chemistry from tissue breakdown!.

So: prevention: cool-down exercises, shower after!. At home, a salt soak (epsom salts, table salt, baking soda, fancy bath salts) in warm water, and THEN RINSE with clear water after!. That last step is critical: the point of a salt bath is to draw out toxins, you don't want to leave them on your skin - it's the largest organ in your body!.

After your analgesic and hot water (shower and/or bath), do some gentle stretching!. Repeat hot water and stretching, until you are able to move reasonably normally!. Wear something like a flyweight turtleneck - lightweight full body covering, nonbinding - to prevent chills (sore muscles tend to spasm under cool temperature) You can change clothing when it's time for volleyball, but if you have a charleyhorse (major cramp that won't unlock), you won't be worrying about volleyball at all!.

Take another analgesic before you're up for volleyball!.

And don't do that again! Good luck - you sound like a serious player!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Basically nothing!. I mean, you want to make sure you stretch and you could use something like Ben Gay on your sore muscles, but if want on the team, you work through it!. Understand, the more you do it, the more you will be strengthening those muscles and the easier it will become until there's no pain!. Good LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com
