Why does it matter where you get a shot?!

Question: Why does it matter where you get a shot!?
I am experiences in certain forms of science, but not necessarily this form!. I realize this may sound like a relatively dumb question, but I am still wondering!. If blood circulates throughout the body, then why is it important that they inject the dead cell in a particular area of the body!?

Also: I am not quite certain on what topic this falls under!. I apologize if this is the wrong one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok first of all, it has nothing to do with veins or anything! If you're getting an immunization or a shot because you're sick or in pain, there are different reasons why you get them where you get them!. First, it depends on where the medication is suposed to be given!. Tetanus for example, needs to go into muscle, so that's why you get it in your arm!. Some medication, like insulin, has to go into fat, and that's why it goes into your stomach!. It also depends on how much medication you're getting!. You can only get 1cc of medication in your arm without it causing pain!. Pain shots for example, you usully get in your butt because it's alot of medication that goes in!. And last but not least, it depends on the constiency of the drug!. Depotesteron is very think, like syrup!. the thicker the medication, the larger the muscle it needs to go it, like your butt!. Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

docs or nurses usually give you shots in your veins on your the opposite side of your elbow, because thats where the vein is visible for most people!. if you get a shot on your thigh, the nurse would be trying to figure out where the vein is, because they cant see it!. get it!? It depends on the shot!. Some medications are supposed to be given subQ (in the skin) and others in the muscle!. It can make a difference due to the consistancy, action, and delivery system of the medication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
