Question: Bike fell on ankle, how do i know if it is broken!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
i was riding my bike, the peddle fell off, my bike fell on left side of my body and on ankle, how do i know if my ankle is broken or fractured without getting an x-ray!?!?!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

One test is to flick the bone with your finger!.!.!.if pain shoots through it, it is most likely broken!.

Well an X-ray is the only sure way of knowing if a bone is broken/fractured (means the same thing)!. Calm down!. I don't think a bike can fracture your ankle except under some strange circumstances!. You probably just have a bruise there!.
A fractured ankle is virtually impossible to walk on (though nothing is impossible) due to the instability of the joint when broken and the pain!. Very few people have that high a threshold for pain!.
Broken bones usually have swelling and pain instantly after the injury!.
Depending on the extent of the fracture it can be angled funny, or you can see the bone poking out!.
If it's a bruise or sprain certainly by 1 week you should begin to notice improvement in the swelling and pain (color of the bruise doesn't mean much)!.

If it was broken hun then weight baring would be excruciatingly painful!. Walking would be virtually impossible, unless you have an exceptionally high pain threshold!.
