My sons hands shake, should I be worried?!

Question: My sons hands shake, should I be worried!?
My 13 year old has shaky hands!.It is not constant, shows up mainly when he is nervous or upset!.Mine did this,so did my dads!.He also has ADD,so his hands get more shaky at school when he feels he is being watched by the teacher!.I got an e-mail from one of his teachers today asking me why his hands shake,I told her that I feel it is genetic!.I have talked to his doctor about this, and of course they want to run brain scans and all kinds of tests!.I don't feel it is necessary when I was just like this at his age!.he has no other symptoms that really concern me!.What would you do as a parent!?has anyone else dealt with something like this!?I want to do the best things for my kids, but I really do not think he needs a cat scan!.Thanks and GOD-blessWww@Answer-Health@Com

When I present in school my hands would shake sometimes!. It's more noticeable when I'm holding a poster!. its not a problem anymore and its no big deal anyway, I was just nervous!. My aunt on the other hand has really shaky hands and so does my cousin!. It might be genetics but I think it has more to do with there manner, they are both real timid people!.

Putting more focus on it makes it worse!. Your kid is going to see it as a problem and be more embarrassed!. If you give him magnesium don't make it so obvious!. I added a link with high magnesium foods!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

As long as you have insurance, and they will cover it there is no reason not to get the test!. A big concern is radiation when people think of a CT scan, but the amount of radiation that is used is very minimal ( I believe about one full day outside's worth)!. If magnesium worked for you, try it first, but be sure to look to make sure the dosage is correct for a 13 year old!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Doctors
check dosage
and let them run all of there tests and etc!.

hope this helps

While similar symptoms can be described as genetic, one never really knows for sure!. You can have the exact same symptoms as your father, and your son, and all 3 of you can have a different ailment!.

It would be best to get your son to the doctor for evaluation!.

Shaking hands can be a sign of many things, fear, as you mentioned, Vitamin deficiency, Diabetes, and several other things as well, even neurological imbalances or disorders!.

It is always best to get him to the doctor to be sure!. Better to have it checked and be nothing than to not get checked and have it be serious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
