Question: If ur a nurse or doctor, plz help!! Im in so much pain!!!?
the nail on my big toe is like slicing into my toe!. i think its called an ingrown toe!? but its on the side of my toe, not the front!. its 2:39am where i am and i went to bed at 11:45pm and woke up at 1:20am with my toe throbbing!. i have my first day of school in a few hours and i want to be able to get to sleep but my toe just hurts SO much!! i woke my mom up cuz shes a nurse but she said other than advil and an icepack there was nothing left to do!. idk if she was just really sleepy or if there really is nothing left to do!. but it hurts sooooooo much and the icepack just made it worse and its all swollen!. ive tried cutting off part of the nail!. i cut off what i could but i couldnt get real far down cuz its really swollen!. any suggestions!?!? thanks in advance!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i am a nurse also and thats all you can do really!. Dont go playing with it go see your doctor if you mess with it its gonna get infected!. Try not putting pressure on it wen u wlk helped for me!Www@Answer-Health@Com

This didn't happen overnight, it was something a long time coming but, you ignored it and now you want help right now!.
You can go to an ER and hope they're not crowded and just wait ot, if your mom knows someone that can get you into a doc that can cut the nail and give you something for the pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like an infected ingrowing toenail!. You will need a course of antibiotics to get rid of the infection and swelling It is very important to finish the course!.Then see a chiropodist to deal with the nail!.Always wear goodfitting shoes!.Best of luck!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
