Okay, I know i should go to the Dr!. but i have no insurance so i was going to see if ya'll could help me first!. One of my eyes is very pink and has green eye gunk coming out non stop!. it is also slightly itchy!. I know gross right!. I really dont want this spreading to my 2 yr old or husband!.
I have some gentamicin sulfate ophthalmic ointment usp, 0!.3% Left over from when my daughter had an eye infection last spring!. Its in a tube and greasy!. Will that get rid of it!? Any other tips!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wash your hands often, about 5 times as often as you think you need to!. You could also get one of the antibiotic hand washes as an added precaution!. Don't use leftover medication from someone else!.

Sleeping in contacts makes the eye more susceptible to inflammation/infection!.

I had something similar to this and it turned out I had an eye infection, which is like an effect of pink eye, but it actually wasn't something that could spread to other people!. I went to the doctor and got medication for it, but if you are not going to go to the doctor, the best thing you can probably do is constantly wash your hands, try your hardest not to touch your eye, and clean your eye out once or twice a day using a washcloth Www@Answer-Health@Com
I just got over pink eye and it can go into something much worst!. Do not use anyone else meds!. Keep washing your hands if you touch the eye area, washing your eye out with a clean wash rag with baby shampoo make that a warm compress!.My Doctor recommended using Similasan you can buy over the counter to help clean out the junk from you eyes!.
