Question: Is Methadose a big step up!?
Im on 15mg of Lortab 3 times a day!. Doctor just prescribed 5mg tablets of methadose to take as a long lasting med!. and to cut down to 7!.5mg of lortab 3 times a day!. Its for pain mgmt!. after having my chest muscle explode from seatbelt pressure in a accident in which i was a passenger (lasting injury, the accident was 5 years ago, 75% of the muscle was removed, 25% saved)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You better believe it is and let me tell you this!. If you had a chest muscle explode you mist surely need it!. DO not get discouraged if your 5mg's of Methadone is not killing the pain right away like the Lortab, you must aquire a program for this drug in your brain!. I assure you it will be the best! It may take a little time to get the desired results!. There is so much I can write and I am not going to write a book!.
If your doc started you out on 5mg, send that info to HARMD!. "Helping America Reduce Methadone Deaths!." he is doing the right thing!. And he is no stranger to this drug!.
Methadone is the most efficient pain reliever on the planet, it maintains a constant blood level throughout 24 hours and it's threshold for pain on contrary to HARMD'ed claims is a long 8 hours!. What pain pill lasts that long for pain!? And they say just 8 hours like it is nothing!. Just be careful with it, do not ever increase the dose 10mg's and realize this is going to probably be a for life thing!. Do not take more if the pain relief is not there, give it time to work! This is what your doc is for!.
Do not mix it with any benzodiazepiene! Or alcohol or any drug that works on GABA 1,2 0r 3!. They will cancel it, especially Valium! Trust me, I know first hand!. Benzo's will displace Methadone!
Your main goal with methadone as any other opiate is to keep the lowest possible working dose constant!. Methadone is a fantastic pain reliever and I weaned off of 200mg's a day as precribed for pain, the doc I had just brought me up too fast!. Methadone although it has long term effects like everything else, there is overwhelming evidence it is the lightest on everything compared to any other opiate!. ANd it is the most scrutinized drug on the planet!.

THe trick with this drug is you again must remain on the lowest possible working dose!. Getting off it is not as bad as anything else if not easier!. Listen to your doc and write me!. This is a good combination!. Lortab and Methadone!.
And all opiates kill by depressing the respiratory system!. DO not be intimidated by lies propagated by anyone!. Methadone is not that damn dangerous!. MY ADVISE! "Do not tell a soul you are on this! although i do not know from personal experience i went to this site and read: methadone is a long acting opiate,pain med, so it will stay in your system longer than short acting opiates,ie lortab!.!.!.the w/d's can be traumatic coming off lortab if done abruptly, and as with methadone!.!.!.if you take your time and come off of methadone ever so slowly,the w/d's wont be that harsh!.!.!.!. the site was http://www!.drugtalk!.com/hydrocodone/drug!.!.!.
