There sure is, and its known as bruising!. When you bump a part of your body, it can cause the blood vessles inside to temporarily rupture and bleed outwards to the skin, showing up as a purply colour!. This is what has most likely happened to your lip!. You may have bumped it or bitten down a little too hard!. It'll be fne and like any other bruise will heal within a week or so

If you have bit your lip or bumped it recently it can bleed without breaking the skin!. The lips are very sensitive so be careful - the purple should go away in a few days!. If it continues an is followed by bleeding or bumps go see your doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com
