If it is broken and you go to the hospital, the will x-ray to confirm that it is broken and splint it so that it will heal!. In most cases, it is not a good idea to splint a jointed area that is not broken, as it can cause stiffening of the joint!.
I would go to the doctor!. Different types of fractures require different solutions and without an x-ray you will not know for sure!.
Broken fingers are typically splinted!. Toes are usually taped to the adjoining digit!.

Well that sounds broken!.!.!. trust me i should know with my arms broken twice each and my baby toe dislocated!.!.!. i would def go to the hospital and if you do once you get out of the waiting room they will put you in the system, figure out how it happened then if it seems bad you will wait yet again and get an xray!.!.!. you'll have to wait til the results come and if its true i believe they give you a finger splint!.!.!. its this thing that holds the broken one in place!.!.!. i believe you tape the splinted finger to the finger next to it!.!.!. my brother had it done!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
it could be, but you really cant do any thing for broken fingers!.!.!.its not like you can cast a finger!.!.!.it wont work and docotrs will prob nit see any break in the x-ray!.!.!.try icing it for 20 mins every three hours and tape it to the other surronging finger!.!.!.some times if you go to stores like cvs or other parmacy stores, they sell finger splints and elevate your arm on the couch or something!.!.!.but i really dont think it is if your able to typeWww@Answer-Health@Com

My finger was huge, and i was gonna go to the hospital but i decided to wait, and it went away in like 2 days
Try taping to your other finger to keep it straight
