Epsom salt on wound?!

Question: Epsom salt on wound!?
I had surgery about a week and a half ago on my big toe because they had to remove a benign tumor from my big toe bone!. My doctor told me to soak my foot in epsom salt to reduce the swelling of my toe!. So, my question is if the salt will hurt my wound!? Will I be able to just skip out on the salt and hope my toe's swelling will go down!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

When the doctor says to soak in Epsom salt, it is supposed to be diluted in water, not pure salt!. The chemical nature of Epsom salt causes the swelling to go down!. It really works! Just use the correct amout that the box says!. Making it stronger will not make it work better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I see the word salt bothers you but it is just a word!. Epsom Salt is a relaxant that has been around since Shakspear and to bath one's tired, soar feet or open wound in your case will draw out the toxins from your wound!. It is quite inexpensive and a very relaxing tension reliever!. Have you not had a tooth out and the Dentist said to rinse with ebsom salt 2-3 times a day!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

No it wont sting or hurt your surgical wound!. It has had sufficient enough time to heal and close over the incision!. The salt will help with swelling and wont sting your incision sight!. Salt only stings on fresh open cuts, wounds etc!. No worries, you'll be fine while soaking!. Just DON'T skip it as you will slow the healing process if you do!.

Good Luck

The epsom salt will not burn; It's not like table salt!.
It will in fact help with the swelling and therefore hopefully reduce some of the pain!.
By the way, to soak your foot you will dilute the salt in warm water!.
You do not put the salt directly on the toe! Www@Answer-Health@Com

Epsom salt is actually antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, which is good for your wound!. It would lessen the swelling and prevent infections!. Some doctors even advise using salt water on wound rather than using alcohol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Follow your doctors advise!. The Epsom salt might sting but only for a moment!. Best thing for a foot wound!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
