Why do I have such bad back pains at such a young age?!

Question: Why do I have such bad back pains at such a young age!?
I'm only 13 and about 2 years ago my back has started to hurt a lot!. It hurts if I stand up still or sit down still for awhile, and sometimes if I'm up moving for to long!. I had a check up with my doctor and he made me get an x-ray because he said I "might" have scolyosis or something and I had the x-ray and then they said I didn't have it!. So why does my back hurt so much!? Is this really bad!? Will it get any better!? What should I do!!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know this sounds stupid and insulting - it's not meant to be!. But a LOT of pain, especially in the back, is of emotional origin!. There are so many hundreds and thousands of people who have horrible pains - and nothing the doctor can find that's wrong!.

The mind can do anything it wishes in terms of creating pain - and the only book I know about presently which deals with this is Dr!. Sarno - "Healing Back Pain"!. It's an older book so there's plenty of used copies on Amazon for CHEAP!. Like $3!.

Anyway - check it out!. These pains cooked up by the mind are real pains - they still hurt - but they aren't about functional, physical problems - they're about emotional problems!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

How much do you weigh!. A lot of time back pain is caused by being overweight!.
but one thing that you can do to lower back pain is to strengthen the stomach muscles!. Get a good work out regimen and get in a stretch class!. Stronger and more flexible muscles will help with back support!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

~ hi~! Posture can lead to back pain and it will be prolonged and often intermittent!. So, really watch your posture (how you're sitting and standing)!. Other things to consider:

~ Are you spending a lot of time on the computer!? Are you using a supportive chair (that provides support to your upper back)!. Are you aware of your posture!?

~ While doing homework are you sitting in a supportive chair as opposed to in a bent over position!? It's important to think about your back!. I know it sounds corny, but a little prevention will help your back!.

~ A personal issue with me are BACKPACKS - I see students walking hunched over like old people and it makes me angry (and I know there's not a lot that can be done about it), but as a parent I have personally advocated that our School District have home books (that don't have to go back to the school until the end of the school year) and classroom books!. That STAY in the class!. This ensures that students backpacks don't have to be as heavy!. I know it's a matter of money each School District has!. But, do consider the weight in your backpack and if there are ways it can be lighter!. There is no reason to ruin your back!.

Another thing to consider and I'm not sure about your height, but have you been really growing lately!? If your parents are tall, chances are you are growing fast!. Two of my kids have had back pain when going through their growth spurts, (that could be why your X-Ray was initially inclusive for scoliosis)!.

Also, if your parents have a heat pad or hot water bottle around the house, try applying heat to your back!. That will help to relax your muscles!.

I hope you get relief and answers soon! =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
