Pain near my knee cap?!

Question: Pain near my knee cap!?
About 18 mths ago i sprained my knee in a game of netball and it took a few months to recover along with physio!.
I have had no pain for along time but 2 weeks ago i had a wisdom tooth removed due to a persistent abscess but suddenly since the pain in my knee cap has returned it is like a cramp pain with an ache!.
I have been doing no different exercise on my leg and i was wondering if by any remote chance that it is caused by my mouth infection!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I think once you sprain a knee it tends to give you pain from time to time!. Like if you stand too long, or wear shoes that are wrong!.
It leaves a weakness once you hurt a knee!.

The abscess would not be anything to do with it!. In any case the antibiotics for that should help other pains!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could have Osgood Schlatters disease which is completely harmless!. I have it and you get it just below your knee cap!. Sometimes it will just hurt really bad but other times it will just hurt if you hit it!. My doctor told me that if i do sports that require hard running and jumping it will last longer but that doesn't stop me!. Hope this helped!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Rare but possible, like this guy!.

0826: British single sculler Alan Campbell is in action shortly!. He tells BBC Sport he has had to have his knee pretty much rebuilt after an infection which started in his tooth spread to his leg!. He was on crutches eight weeks ago!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

An infection anywhere can cause septacemia which is a spread of the infection through the bloodstream!. If you have no other symptoms I think it unlikely but a blood test will indicate infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
