I'm in so much pain. Please help!?!

Question: I'm in so much pain!. Please help!!?
Normally I'm the one answering questions but now I'm totally lost!. For the past 3-4 weeks, my abdomen has had some super strong sharp pains!. No specific area, just my abdomen in general!. It's enough make me curl up in a fetal position on the floor and I can take a lot of pain and keep going!. It has not made me actually sick to my stomach, but you can hear my stomach bubble!. Not growl, but bubble!. I thought maybe it was a kidney stone but they don't normally last 3wks or PMS but like I said, that won't last 3wks and I'm not on my period to start with!.(No!. I could not be pregnant!.) And just today the pain stepped up a lot stonger and I've been to the bathroom so much I might as well be on laxatives!. :P I don't have a fever and everything else is normal!. I've taken pain killers and peptobismal and drank ginger ale and have been taking it easy but nothing is helping!. I'm going to see my doctor today but I was wondering if anybody might any ideas on here!. Thanks a lot!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Could be a few things!. I would say that it is definately a gastrointestinal issue of some type!. Going to the doctor is the best course, and with these types of symptoms, a visit was in order weeks ago!. Significant gastrointestinal issues don't aften go away without some form of treatment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah, going to the doctor is probably the best thing you should do!. I can't actually answer this question BUT I'd recommend not drinking ginger ale!. Although ginger is supposed to be good for stomach pains, ginger ale itself isn't made with ginger anymore (check out the ingredient label and you'll see that ginger isn't on it) and ginger ale is carbonated which depending on the person could make things worse!. It sounds like you ate something that was infected with a bad bacteria!. If it was old, or spoiled, or undercooked, or if it tasted funny, that could be a good signal that that is what infected you!. You can get sick from just touching uncooked meat and not washing your hands afterward!.
It wasn't necessarily something you ate that day!. It could have been lots of things, that once it got into your system you didn't notice until 2 or 3 weeks later!. Think about anything you have eaten that could have been left out in the heat too long, or in the refrigerator too long!. Anything that had a bad odor!. Some hot peppers have been on a watch list all summer for E-coli bacteria!.
I don't think it's an intestinal bug!. They don't usually last this long!. It's a good thing you have a doctor's appointment!. I'm glad to hear that!.
My mother had a flu bug in February and she kept drinking ginger ale and she threw it up!. But when I gave her orange juice, she was able to keep it down and it helped rehydrate her somewhat!. You could have started out with something, and now it's worse because your sodium is imbalanced from going to the bathroom so much!. It's just something to think about!.
I hope this helps you!.
