I've had many sinus infections!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That is just another symptom of your infection!. Infected mucus smells really bad, even when it is in your nose!. Sometimes you'll smell something stinky for no reason, when you're really smelling the infected mucus in your nose!. Also, mucus will be green or yellow when infected!.

Antibiotics are overrated!. It just makes the germs more resistant to them in the long run!. Here are some home remedies!.!.!.

CURING DIFFICULT or STUBBORN SINUS INFECTIONS
You need to take a look at your diet and eliminate all mucus-forming/thickening foods or drinks!. Milk, citrus, spicy foods, wheat, cheese, etc!. are usually the culprits!. Try eliminating them from your diet for a few days!.

Then try all of the following:
* Grapefruit Seed Extract -- your sinus infection may disappear after a couple of days of grapefruit seed extract!. We like the drops, but be forewarned -- they taste terrible!! Also, never take them on an empty stomach (especially first thing in the morning)!.
* Potassium supplements -- dries up mucous!.
* Drink apple cider vinegar throughout the day in large glasses of water (ACV thins mucus)!.
* Let a hot shower run onto your face (forehead and nose) and then clear all the mucus from your sinuses!. Do this several times a day!.
* Try Oil Pulling, a fabulous remedy from India which alleviates Sinus Congestion within about 10-15 minutes!.

You should see improvement within a day or two!.

2005: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand writes: "My father cured his sinus problems by taking large dosages of vitamin C for about 1-2 months!. I had the same sinus problem and vitamin C did indeed work - it runs in the family, I guess!.

Mayo Clinic some years ago did a study on sinus infections and its causes!. It turns out that a large majority of people who have sinus issues had a fungus infection in their sinus areas!. The cause turns out that it came from mildew and fungus of the carpets!. If you clean the carpet or remove it that might just help the problem!. Also, drinking diluted tea tree oil, thyme oil, might complement by clearing the blood area as well!.

Yes, tea tree oil (it is anti-fungal) in dilution will help with sinus issues and is the one that produce the least irritation!. A product called Sinus Buster is reported to do very well!. The product is patented and uses diluted cayenne peppers to put in sinus area!. However, there are other that have similar properties, such as white thyme oil, wild oregano (they are hot - so be careful), and eucalyptus oils!. Some people use colloidal silver and mix these along with diluted tea tree oil and eucalyptus oil!. This is reported to have worked well!. Every time I have a sinus problems, I chew pure menthol crystals and breathe the fumes from my mouth and into my nose!. This might also help your sinuses!. My sister had an allergy problems for nearly 10 years, and somewhat of sinus problems!. That was cured using N-Acetylcysteine!.Vinegar is reported to to destroy fungus and have anti-fungal properties, therefore a using a humidifier and breathing in pure vinegar (5% acetic acid) might also help destroy the fungus!. Ozone has been reportedly helpful with sinus provided it is used in conjunction with other materials reported here!. Ozone destroys fungus and sinus would be relieved!."

Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is our favorite remedy for stopping sinus infections!. We wish more people knew about this amazing home treatment!. The idea is to take apple cider vinegar before the sinus infection occurs, which for most people is at the start of allergies, colds, flu, etc!.

We have found that when apple cider vinegar is taken either as a daily tonic or at the first sign of an allergy or cold (i!.e!., sinus headache, stuffy nose, watery eyes), one can completely stop the histamine response or allergic reaction!.

There are a couple ways you can drink apple cider vinegar ("ACV")!. One way is to put 1/8 to 1/4 cup ACV in 16 oz of water and sip it throughout the day!. The other method is to gulp 2 TBSP of ACV in 8 oz of water all at once!.

If you have an existing sinus infection, keep drinking a mixture of ACV and water throughout the day for several days!.

Please remember -- the key to success is to use apple cider vinegar before a sinus infection appears (i!.e!. during the first stages of a flu or allergy attack, or after you've eaten a bowl of ice cream)!.

Question: Why does ACV alleviate sinus congestion so quickly!?

Answer: ACV thins mucus almost immediately!. One of the first things you will notice after drinking apple cider vinegar is that the color of your mucus goes from white or green and thick, to thin and clear!. The thinning of mucus is the key to kicking your sinus infection!. Once you have thin mucus, you can clobber the infection with one of many remedies from this page!. Wild oregano oil is one of our favorites for bacterial infections, but grapefruit seed extract is also very potent!. Whatever remedy you try, remember to keep up the apple cider vinegar throughout the day for several days and drink lots and lots of water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
