Brown recluse bite--my scar still hurts. why?!

Question: Brown recluse bite--my scar still hurts!. why!?
At the beginning of the summer i was bit by a brown recluse spider!. My doctor waited a week until he finally decided to lance it!. Now my lance is scarred over and is fine except from time to time i get sharp pains in it!. It feels like needles in my arm, and it happens at the most random times!. I can just be laying down, sitting, running or sleeping when it decides to hurt!. It is strange and i want to know why it still hurts and if i should go get it checked!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Nerve damage at the bite site!.

Brown Recluse Spider bites can be hard to diagnose initially!. Their venom is necrotic in nature, and destroys tissue!. Part of that resultant tissue pain can be neuropathic in nature, and last for many months after the envenomation (bite)!.

Do an internet search on neuropathic pain, so you can read at your leisure, and understand why this pain comes and goes like it does!.

If it lasts for a long time, and/or is hard to endure, you may want to use special medications your doctor can prescribe for neuropathic pain symptoms!.

Be patient!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
