Answers:
Absolutely

Any major trauma can bring on depression , add that to change in body image, pain and not being able to do all your regular stuff!.!.!. it would be hard not to feel shitty

There are two major types of depression one endogenous and the other is reactive!. Reactive depression is as a result of any major life issue or change in circumstance

Talk to your Doctor about how you are feeling and also let your family and friends be aware of your feelings so they can support you emotionally!.

big hugs I hope the leg gets better soonWww@Answer-Health@Com

It certainly can!.

While you're recovering and giving your body a chance to heal, you tend to sit around for most of the day!. Inactivity can certainly lead to depression!.

The ramifications of surgery, such as pain and immobilisation, can certainly lead to depression, too!.

Take care!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I use to suffer from depression and my doctor says that it could be a number of things all at once piling up,and I would think that a leg injury would stir up feelings of depression due to limited activities!.I dont know how that helped you any but sorry about you leg & feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, No one really knows why!. Some people think it's your bodies way of slowing you down so you can heal properly!. That kind of stress is hard on your body!. Especially if you are always healthy and rarely have problems!. Unless you feel like harming yourself (then call a doc) don't sweat it!. Be kind to yourself and you should come out of the slump!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe the down time or the pain killers you were on are causing those feelings!. Look on the brighter side, things will get better and soon you will be active again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
