Question: Cut Wrist/Healing-Infection!?
Recently I cut my wrist pretty bad I might need stitches but I don't want my parents to know!. I might be able to let it heal by itself but I don't know if it can!. It's been a day and it looks like it's stopped bleeding!. What should I do to keep it from not getting infected!? I usually wrap it in a ace bandage and cover the open part with tissue!. I clean it with peroxide three times a day!? any tips to help me keep it clean!? Should I take it out the bandage to get some air every now and then!. Is there a way to get it stitched up without my parents knowing!. How long should I wait to see if it closes up!? Right it pretty much stopped bleeding it's just kinda fleshy and watery!.!.!.doesn't look or feel like an infection though!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

HOw many days ago did you cut your wrist!? you cant have sutures placed if it happened more then 18 hours ago!. clean the wound very good at least twice a day warm soapy water would work just as well as peroxide!. make sure your putting some sort of neosporin on the area, not vaseline keep the area covered with a bandage the ace wrap absorbs a lot of moisture and can breed infection it is ok to let air get to the area so at night in bed keep it open to air, once it starts to scab then it is ok to not bandage it!. if it looks ike it needs to be pulled together some the make band aids called butterfly strips that will help pull the wound together!. watch really closely for infection any redness around the wound,swelling or whit yellow discharge if you have any of those you need to see a doctor!. I hope you didn't do this on purpose if you did it's not worth it sorry if I barked up the wrong tree I just get worried about people who have those types of issues!. just watch the wound really close!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Looks to me your really banged up!. The only way to get it healed is to go to the doctor or hospital which is really hard to do without your parents knowing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
