I could be Hand, Foot, Mouth Disease!. My daughter just had it last week!. It is a virus that is common in children and contagious, but not serious!. Look up more at www!.webmd!.com perhaps!? I took her to her doctor for the diagnosis, but he advised to give her Tylenol for her low fever and pain as needed, there is not much else you can do for it!. ** Note: Hand, Foot, Mouth disease is a VIRUS, antibiotics will not help it!! (It is almost like a cold)!. Very common in daycare,my 3 year old daughter is in preschool, and they won't let her go back yet, it has been exactly a week today, maybe by Monday!. It is just a common kid thing, not a big deal, just takes time to get over it!. It just looks pretty bad for a while, and it will erupt in big white pimples then crust over (if it is HFM Disease I mean!!)!. Good luck!.** To add: Enteroviruses like what causes HFM Disease do not live long outside the body, so cleaning toys each night would not matter, they are passed very quickly and easily, so it is not a sanitation problem!.

This sounds like hand, foot and mouth disease!.!.!. this is what the doctors call it as a generic term!. I don't remember what the scientific term for it is!. Your friend needs to get him to the doctor for meds asap and maybe switch daycare centers!. 10 other kids having it would be a big red flag to me, as it is very highly contagous and all toys need to be cleaned before another child plays with them, and every day!. This day care may not be doing it correctly!. I would have your friend ask them how they are handling the situation, and ask of methods they use to clean the toys!.
