Does anyone out there have costochondritis?!

Question: Does anyone out there have costochondritis!?
My chest always feels tight and i have this tendency to stretch my pecs throughout the day to pop and relieve the pain!. I cant sleep on my stomach because my chest will flare up!. My sturnum feels very tender when pressue is applied!. I was diagnosed with costochondritis after a bad car accident and was wondering if its something i have to live with for the rest of my life or if its just a very long healing process!. Can someone out there please help because im tired of living with constant pain!. I do appreciate your time, and god bless! (any exercises or stretches that will help!?!?!?)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know how long that will be going on, but I would imagine in time it will heal!. You might want to give this a try, it has certainly helped me in more ways than one over the years, especially when it comes to sore muscles and bones!. I get a towel, soak it with hot water, ring it out and apply it to where the hurt is!. You have to do this several times and it's always best for someone to help you!. There should be a second towel handy to quickly replace the first one when it begins to cool!. You do this until the skin begins to turn slightly red!. Then rub the area with some Aspercreme!. You should get some relief!. I would be afraid to do any stretching or exercising until there is no pain, and then you could probably go to a gym and use the machine that you use your arms to pull toward the chest, don't know what it is called!. Just be careful not to re-injure yourself!. Wish I could tell you more, but this little procedure might just help you more than you think!. I wish for you the very best young man and the very best of luck!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had this about 9 years ago when I was 15 from coughing a ton with a bad cold!. It actually took me at least three months for the pain to go away completely!. There's not really much you can do about it except to wait it out and take something like ibuprofen!. I totally know how you feel! But it will get better!. It just takes a while!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

As far as treatment for your condition, it's somewhat limited to non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs and simple ice!. Hopefully they diagnosed you property and it's not actually a fracture or arthritis!? A last resort may be to see a Rheumatologist if your symptoms seem to be un-resolved!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
