There are some tablets, capsules, etc that you shouldn't take with milk because of the calcium content in milk!. The calcium decreases the absorption of these medicines e!.g!. iron formulations, some antibiotics such as doxycycline and a few other drugs!. Generally for the medicines that are affected, there should be cautionary advice on the bottle/packet saying to take that medicine two hours apart from any iron, calcium, antacids, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i was recently on a lot of painkillers and was told by the pharmacist that drinking milk is a good thing to do with tablets!. it lines the stomach and reduces nausea, and he didnt mention anything about reduction of absorptionWww@Answer-Health@Com
