Medical Marijuana Card Hassle?!

Question: Medical Marijuana Card Hassle!?
I am in constant, severe pain due to a serious injury I received years ago!. I have tried many "hardcore" pain medications per my doctor's prescription!. I have taken vicodin, oxycontin, codeine, and much much more!. None of these drugs provided more than minimal relief and they all did not settle well with my body!.

I have asked my doctor about getting a medical marijuana card, and he shuns the idea!.

My question is, how can I obtain one without having to run around town to countless doctors!? I don't want to seem like an addict!. Please help!.

Answers:
It depends on what state you reside in!. If you live in California, Oregon, or Washington there are ads in many local newspapers that will direct you to informational groups that will assess whether or not you would qualify under the state laws of that particular state and if you do they will direct you to one or several physicians who are willing to do medical exams and potentially approve your getting a medical marijuana card!.

Ask your Dr why he is against prescribing medical marijuana and how doing so would affect his malpractice insurance rates and his potential legal liability!.

If you are really premed then I really hope you are not going to try and practice medicine and actually treat patients while smoking marijuana daily!. Regardless of what you might believe now at whatever year of age, smoking reefer really does impair some aspects of your judgement and fine motor skills!. You need both in top working order to be a good Dr!. I wouldn't want you driving the bus or cab I was riding in, let alone giving me medical advice or treatment if you were getting stoned daily!. I am pro medical marijuana - but for patients - not for Drs!.

Get physical therapy for your chronic pain!. It works!.
