Being asthmatic, yes there is a way you can do it, the boiling temperature of alcohol is 78c, so vapours will start being released about 10 - 15 below this temp!.
What to do is the following:
Take the bottle of whisky, open it, and then create a seal using a piece of tubing which is then sealed over the nebuliser at the other end!.
Using an alcohol burner, place this under the bottle of whisky to warm it!. This will provide a gentle heat with little chance of the bottle breaking through heat expansion!.
