I've broken my left foot and sprained my right foot?!

Question: I've broken my left foot and sprained my right foot!?
I had a skateboarding accident whilst going down a huge ramp on my brother's skateboard and broke my left foot in 2 places!. They put a cast on to start with, but it got really wet so they cut it off and replaced it with what they call a ''walker boot''!. It's basically a big black thing that looks like a cast but it velrcos on and off so you can remove it to wash your foot/ dry it out if it gets wet in the rain!.

I know they said not to put weight on it other than my heel, but I've been walking on it normally a lot and ditched my crutches in a hedge on the way to town this afternoon (don't worry - I'll pick them up on monday)!.

After walking a long distance I fell down a curb and injured my right foot (the one that isn't broken!.) It's now badly bruised on my ankle and my knee and ankle are both very painful, more so than the broken left foot was!. I can walk on it with pain!. I've tried iceing it this evening but it doesn't seem to have helped much!. It doesn't look swollen, but it's hard to tell because I have nothing to compare it to!.

I live in the UK!. What will happen if I go to A&E with what I think is a sprained ankle and knee!? My friend said they'll give me crutches but this won't work since my other leg is in a cast-type thing and I'm not allowed to put weight on it!. I've had people jokingly suggest they'll put me in a weelchair, but I'm worried!.!.!.

Could you please advise me about what will happen when I go to A&E!? Do you think I should put it off for a while and see if it improves!?

Thanks very much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Your situation is what's known as "being in a bit of a pickle"!.
Personally, I do think you behaved irresponsibly in the first place by walking fully on a fractured foot when you were supposed to weight bare only on your heel!.
Now, you have injured your "good foot" and I think your best course of action is to get yourself to A & E and get BOTH of your feet examined and treated,
DO listen to their advice and hopefully your bones will heal correctly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well if you can't walk on your right foot, and you shouldn't put weight on your left foot, then there are two things!.

You are going to get a sore bottom from all that sitting you will do, or you will have to get a wheelchair, so you can get out and about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No offense but what where you thinking!? Bones need time to heal!. It is reasonable to wait out an injury but you may have another fracture and should seek help soon to avoid personal injury!. To hell with what people think!. Think of all the wheelchair games you can play! Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am in the same boat!
plus a torn ligament and tendon in the broken bones leg!.
My doctor said to rest for a day and then walk and keep walking and they will heal, but it's not him on these legs is it!? :-)
Exact same legs too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
