Question: Is this an ingrown FINGERnail or something else!?
for a few years now I've gotten occasional pains on the sides (usually one side at a time) of my fingernails, it hurts to touch but isn't red or inflamed or anything!. sometimes if i put some neosporin on it with a band-aid overnight it's fine but sometimes the only way to get rid of it is to clip the skin in that area, and what I usually see is almost like a small overgrown hard cuticle but i'm not sure if that's possible!.!.!. or if maybe it's an ingrown fingernail, but i'm not sure if that's possible either, it usually occurs in the corners of my thumbs or on the side of my ring fingers!. Anyway any help/insight you can give me would be great!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Definitely an ingrown fingernail!. That fits the description perfectly!. They look like a hard cuticle skin color right!? This is because the fingernail is not growing where it is supposed to be and comes through the skin, it's like it's trying to escape so it does not cause any other problems!. This is how it is supposed to work!. And yes they do occur on the sides of the corners of your fingers on any finger rather!. I get them all the time!. The best way to help avoid these is to regularly give yourself a manicure!. Trimming your nails, cleaning your nails etc!. This is normal and everyone gets those!. They do not have to necessarily be red or inflamed!. I've gotten them without that and sometimes they do swell!. I cut them out with nail clippers pulling it out completely!. Yucky I know it's the best way to get rid of them so it won't get infected!. Neosporin cream helps rid of the pain and discomfort!. I put a bandaid on after I pull it out with the cream!. Doctors would do the same thing!. It's similar to an ingrown hair too!.

INGROWN FINGERNAIL FOR SURE!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.SEE DOCTOR ASAP OR ELSE YOU MIGHT END UP LOOSING YOUR NAIL, I'M NOT KIDDING, SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME AND I HAD TO UNDERGO A SURGERY IN WHICH DOCTOR REMOVED MY FULL THUMB NAIL BECAUSE THE NAIL CORNER WAS INTERNALLY GROWN!.
AND LET ME TELL YOU IT WAS A DAMN PAIN FULL SURGERY EVEN AFTER THE DOSAGE OF ANESTHESIA AND AFTER SURGERY DRESSING!.!.!.!.OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH DAMN PAINFULL!.!.!.!.!.!.
