Question: My Doctor told me this & A MEDICAL website tells me that!?
You probably seen me ask 2 other questions about a Vasectomy!.!.!.

But anyway!.!.!.!.I had my Vasectomy 7 days ago!.!.Afterwards my doctor tells me I shouldn't ejaculate(through sex or masturbation) for 10 days!. It's the 7th day right now and it feels pretty good down there(no pain at all!.!.nothing sensitive)!.!.!.!.!.BUT I was looking around medical websites online & this site said to wait a week: http://www!.vasectomymedical!.com/vasectom!.!.!. (On the eighth bullet down)!.

Now I know doctor knows best when it comes to "Health"!.!.!.But is my doctor saying 10 days just to be safe!? Or is it REALLY just a week i have to wait till I can ejaculate!? (And YES I know I can get a female still preggy! I'm worried if I'm going to bust something down there if I ejaculate)

P!.S: I'm REALLY need "a nut"!.!.!.if you know what I mean!.!.!.!.But if it'll damage something down there!.!.then I really won't masturbate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Recovery from the vasectomy operation is rapid, and serious complications are rare!. Swelling, bruising, and pain--the most common complaints--occur in about half of men after vasectomy!. The discomfort subsides within a week or two and usually responds to treatment with ice packs, mild pain killers, scrotal support and rest!. Men are generally advised to avoid strenuous work or exercise for about 2 days after the operation!.

Rest for 48 hours following the vasectomy, even if you don't feel like you need to!. Most men can return to work by the second or third day after the procedure!. If your work involves heavy labor you should take up to a week off, but if you do light work you can get away with just a few days off!.

No sex or ejaculation for a week!. All the articles says that!. Some even say 1-2 weeks!. The main reason for this is: Presence of sperm in the vas deferens!. You can resume sexual intercourse as soon as you are comfortable, usually in about a week!. However, you can still get your partner pregnant until your sperm count is zero!. You must use another method of birth control until you have a follow-up sperm count test 2 months after the vasectomy (or after 10 to 20 ejaculations over a shorter period of time)!. Once your sperm count is zero, no other birth control method is necessary!.

A vasectomy will not interfere with your sex drive, ability to have erections, sensation of orgasm, or ability to ejaculate!. You may have occasional mild aching in your testicles during sexual arousal for a few months after the surgery
