My toddler is suffering from leg cramps!. She has been getting them for 5 days now!. I have not yet take to the doctor!. She screams and it lasts for quite a while!. Why does this occur!? Thankyou in advance for the replies!.

Please take her to the doctor tomorrow!. I am not a medical expert but if it was my child, I wouldn't hesitate!. It could be something to do with blood flow and it is best to eliminate seriousl ailments If you are in Britain, have you thought of ringing NHS Direct and having a word with them!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Sorry to hear that!. It could just be growing pains!. But there's something else you might want to look at!. Just as when adults get dehydrated or low in potassium so may children do the same and leg cramping results!. Try increasing the amount of water your child drinks!. If she doesn't like plain water use a little fruit juice to give it some taste!. Keep the water cool as it will get to her muscles quicker!. Also provide some bananas for your daughter!. For when potassium is low that's another time leg cramps can happen!. (potassium can get low from dehydration also because it makes the sodium content in your body higher) Those are the 2 main reasons for leg cramps!. Hope that helps and your daughters leg cramps go away soon!. Of course, if none of this works, you may want to take her to the doctor!. It could be other things!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If she is getting them at night, then it is growing pains!. I used to get them all the time when i was younger, id wake up screaming cuz of the pain!. The doctor said growing!.!.!.!.But if its day time then you should take her!.!.!.They say you only grow at night once you've been asleep!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
