Anyone ever have a bloodclot in your arm from an IV?!

Question: Anyone ever have a bloodclot in your arm from an IV!?
I had major surgery about 3 1/2 weeks ago and I had a ton of IV's some sites got really sore, but seemed to heal on there own!. I have been out of the hospital for about 2 weeks now, and all of the sudden today I noticed a sore bruise on the inside of my arm, it is lumpy and hurts quite a bit!. I went to my local emergency room where they told me it was a bloodclot most likely from an IV site, but was not the kind of clot to break off and kill you!. They gave me a prescription for an antibiotic, but could not give me anti-inflamatorys because I am 5 1/2 months pregnant!. My question is, wouldn't the clot have happened alot sooner than today if it was from an IV site!? Just a little worried, anyone else ever have this problem!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No, it could have been there since the IV line was taken out and just has been more noticeable from it being infected!.

No need to worry about it!. My fiance was in the hospital and he has limp veins and he had 2 blood clots and they just break up and go away after a while!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
