Answers:
You are not giving enough information to get very specific in this case!. Use ice for fifteen to twenty minutes per hour!. This will decrease the pain and any swelling!. Now you don't state whether the pain is in the knee below the knee or above!. This will make a difference in what direction to go!. If the pain has been solely associated with running check the sneakers that you are using!. They might be old and have lost their shock absorption ability!. Look at the bottom of the sneakers and see the wear pattern!. If they are worn on the inside of the shoe, big toe side, then you might need to get an orthotic to control the position of the foot!. This can be done with an inexpensive product such as a Dr!. Scholl's or Spenco product!. If the pain is in the patella tendon, that tendon is below the kneecap, then get a patella tendon strap and that should help you!. Bottom line in this is that you would do well to see a physical therapist to have the knee as well as your posture evaluated!. The answers to this might be in your feet or hips!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
