It's a bit premature!.
People have gone nuts over possible brown recluse bites in recent years, even in parts of the country where there are no brown recluse spiders!.
It's a standard joke in emergency medicine that the fact the patient is complaining about a spider bite means it's impossible they've been bitten by a spider!. Almost all those "spider bites" turn out to be simple folliculitis or minor staph infections!. Plus, the treatment in the first few days following a brown recluse bite is generally to do nothing!. Some of the minor skin infections may require antibiotic treatment, but since your spot is getting smaller, it certainly isn't unreasonable to continue to watch it for a day or two and see the doctor if it doesn't go away!. While you're waiting, you might also want to check for bedbugs and other things that are more likely than a spider to have bitten you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry, I live in Cali so I get spider bites all the time!. (We live on a hill, so black widows frequent my house!.) It is a good idea to put itch lotion on it, it will reduce the swelling!. No, you don't need to see a doctor, it really isn't that big of a deal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
