Question: I stepped on a toothpic, went really far in my foot help!!?
like right where the toes start, that part of the bottom of my foot, i stepped on a toothpic and it went really far into my foot!. it hurt but i pulled it out and now my foot hurts really bad, bruised and a lil hole kinda!. was it right to pull it out!? should i get it checked!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you got it out you should only need to apply some hydrogen peroxide or alcohol or witch hazel to the wound!.
I would apply some form of an antiseptic-like neosporin and a bandage!. Keep an eye on it for awhile!. If it begins to blister up I would soak your feet in some warm water to bring it to a head, this will help bring anything which has been left inside your foot to the top, and then you can take it out!.
But I feel you more then likely got everything out so just keep an eye on it for the next couple of days , you'll be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you're sure you got it all out then I would clean it, and put neosporin and a bandaid on it and see how it is in the morning!.
The way you can tell if you got it all or not, if you got it all then your foot is sore, but there's not really a stabbing pain!. If there's still something it there whenever you apply any pressure you'll get a shooting, sharp pain!.

Absolutely! You may need an antibiotic!. A puncture wound is the hardest wound to heal up, and it has a great potential for infection!. Besides, a toothpick is wooden--and splinters may have come off in your foot!. Go to the doc and get treatment before it becomes septic!.

If it swells then I would go to urgent care, but if you have some hydrogen peroxide just dump some on there until it stops fizzing white bubbles, use some neosporin and a band aid you'll be fine!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
