Why do my shins hurt after I run?!

Question: Why do my shins hurt after I run!?
Every time I jog, run or play sport that involves running, my shin bones always hurt afterwards!. The pain is there for about 45mins-1hour, but then goes away!. There is no pain anywhere else, except for my shins!.

I'm a 15 year old girl, drink milk daily and I wouldn't consider myself unfit!. It's only been like this for the past month or so!.

What's wrong with my bones!? How can I fix it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You probably need different running shoes!. they play an important role when running/ jogging!. you could be pro- nating, that means your feet are not straight when you run you could be turning one or both slightly over , in other words you feet are you enemy right now!.causing you pain See a Chiropodist and he will check from over pro-nating!.You can see what it means by typing in "Runners world," pro- nating" on any search engine!. hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have shin splints and they are fairly easily taken care of by doing these exercises!. Assume a long sitting position with the knees kept straight!. Using the muscles of the feet pull the front of the feet up towards the knees!. Hold that contraction for a few seconds and relax!. Do this ten times!. Once you are familiar with doing the movement then it can also be done sitting and standing!. Get a 2x4 or book of about the same size and place your heels on the board or book with the front of the feet on the floor!. Place an ankle weight across the front of the foot and pull the front of the foot up while maintaining the heel on the board or book!. Do this ten to fifteen times and hold the top of each contraction for two or three seconds!. Do two or three sets of this on each foot!. Use ice on the area that is bothering you for fifteen to twenty minutes per hour if possible!. This should stop the problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
