Question: How can I soften my scar!. !?
I have a long 3" scar on my back from surgery on my spinal cord!. Sometimes it feels hard and stiff!. I don't like using too much heat on my back because it actually bothers the muscle under the scar that they had to partially remove during the surgery!. does anyone know some good at home things I can do to keep my scar soft!? I have tried all kinds of scar creams but my scar is too big!. Thanks Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've heard vitamin E mentioned for this purpose!. It may depend on how long it has been since surgery!. Older scars are less likely to soften!. There are creams with vit!. E in them!. Another thing is cocoa butter and/or shea butter!. They can be found in Wal Mart for little money!.
I've got some long scars from going through a plate glass door before safety glass (I'm one of the silly people that gave them the idea it was needed) Over time the scars flattened out on their own!. It sounds like yours is placed in a bad spot where it comes into contact with things that irritate it!. I hope you find some relief!. I also hope you are OK, now!.
