Question: Is this normal!? Last week, when I woke up and stood out of bed!.!.!.!.!. !?
both of my calves hurt so bad that I could not walk right!. I did not do anything out of the ordinary to make this happen!. I rested then and put ice on them!. Two days ago, the calves felt better but I developed shin splints!. Today, everything feels better, but my legs are so weak that I can't stand on my tippy toes!. I can't even put on pants without holding onto a chair!. How can I make my legs stronger, and what caused all of this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You don't mention your age - have you been pretty sedentary lately!? If you haven't been getting regular exercise, that can affect everything else!. I assume you're not diabetic, which can affect circulation, or you would have mentioned that!.

When you first wake up, don't get right out of bed - gently stretch your calves, first by extending the toe, then the heel!.

And perhaps you walk/run a lot but don't have adequate footgear!. Something else to look into!.

If you want a definitive answer to your question, you may want to see an orthopedist!. But it doesn't sound like it's called for at this point!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should exercise at least 30 minutes a day and be sure to stretch out before and after for a long time, especially your legs and calves!. Also drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to avoid cramps in your muscles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
